What is Ether?

Ether (ETH) is the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum blockchain platform.

It is used to pay for transaction fees and other services on the Ethereum network, and can also be bought and sold on cryptocurrency exchanges like other digital assets.

Ether was created as a result of a crowdfunding campaign in 2014, and has become one of the most widely-used cryptocurrencies in the world. It is often used as a way to access and interact with decentralized applications (DApps) built on the Ethereum platform, and is also used as a form of payment on many NFT marketplaces and platforms.
