About GOG NFT Migration
When is the migration happening?
We will be migrating all existing GOG NFTs from Immutable X to Immutable zkEVM on 4th March 2024 at 11am AEDT. All active trades for GOG NFTs on Immutable X will be canceled and the order book will be frozen.
What do I have to do for the migration?
You will have to connect your existing wallet to Immutable Passport via Gamer Profile before 10am AEDT on 4 March 2024 for a cost-free migration. Please keep in mind that in some parts of the world, this time and date may actually fall on 3 March 2024.
Do I have to use an Immutable Passport?
Yes. Although you’re welcome to keep your NFTs stored in a Metamask wallet and connect it to your Passport as an external wallet, however the NFTs will be read-only and won’t have any functionality in game. To use blockchain functionalities beyond read-only, you will need to have your NFTs in Immutable Passport.
How do I access my NFTs after they’re migrated to Immutable zkEVM?
If your GOG NFTs are migrated to your Immutable Passport, you’ll be able to view and access them in your Immutable Passport zkEVM wallet at: https://passport.immutable.com. You will be able to see all the NFTs you own under Inventory in any game that utilizes Passport.
If they are migrated to your Metamask zkEVM wallet, you can access them in the same way you do now, or connect it as an external wallet to your Passport account: https://passport.immutable.com/external-wallets/.
What happens if I don’t migrate?
Should you fail to link your Metamask wallet to an Immutable Passport account before the cutoff time and date (10am AEDT, 4 March 2024), your GOG NFTs will still be migrated to zkEVM, directed to the same Metamask wallet address. To use these NFTs in Guild of Guardians, you will need to transfer them from your Metamask wallet to Immutable Passport on zkEVM, which will likely involve transfer/gas fees. You can avoid these fees and extra steps by ensuring you do not miss the deadline.
What if I have NFTs in L1?
Your NFTs will stay in L1. To use these NFTs in Guild of Guardians, you will need to transfer them to Immutable Passport on zkEVM, which will involve transfer/gas fees.
What if I have NFTs in a hardware wallet?
Your NFTs will stay in your hardware wallet unless you’ve connected it to your Metamask wallet and registered it on Immutable X. To use these NFTs in Guild of Guardians, you will need to transfer them from your wallet to Immutable Passport on zkEVM, so we recommend transferring them to a Metamask wallet and link this to your current Passport account to avoid manually transferring them (incurring gas fees).
What if I have my NFTs across multiple wallets?
You will need to connect each of these as external wallets to your Immutable Passport (maximum of 10 wallets are possible). This will ensure they're all minted into your Immutable Passport on zkEVM. If you don’t do so, your NFTs will be minted in each of your respective Metamask wallets on zkEVM.
What if I don’t create an Immutable Passport, can I still play the game with my Heroes?
No. You will need to migrate them to your zkEVM Passport wallet to play with your Guild of Guardians NFTs. We've built this to create the best experience possible to integrate web3 features into the game.
About $GOG Token Migration
What if I hold $GOG tokens on Ethereum L1?
You can keep your tokens on L1 as with any ERC-20 token, or choose to bridge them over to use on Immutable zkEVM L2. Keep in mind that you’ll need to hold $GOG tokens in your zkEVM Passport wallet when interacting with certain elements in the game and/or systems like the Altar of Sacrifice, our web-based NFT minting system.
What if I store my $GOG tokens in a hardware wallet?
Your assets will stay in your hardware wallet. It is up to you whether you choose to migrate them to Immutable zkEVM.
What if I have my assets across multiple wallets?
You can transfer your $GOG tokens between wallets on Immutable X without incurring any gas fees. We’d recommend consolidating your tokens into one Metamask wallet on Immutable X to make the withdrawal process more efficient and easier.
Will I qualify for the GOG zkEVM token migration rewards program if I have my $GOG tokens on Immutable X totalling 50 $GOG vs having above 50 $GOG in one wallet?
Only wallets with above 50 $GOG will qualify. It’s not scalable for us to be able to support balance combinations.
Do I qualify for the GOG zkEVM token migration rewards program if my tokens are on L1 or in a CEX?
No, they must be held on Immutable L2.
